Smoke from The Rings of Power finale hangs in the air while photos from season two are already leaking online, as shared by TheOneRing.net, as production has already begun.

Right off the bat, a few photos show charred and collapsed buildings, conjuring images of the last time fans saw Isildur after the eruption of Mount Doom. Since Isildur is alive at the end of the Second Age, he must have survived the fiery cave-in, and the photos suggest we’ll find out how he survived. There’s also a shot of what looks like a campfire and a large stone carved with Dwarven runes. A translation of the runes has not been found as of this writing. The other photos show sets being constructed, but as to what they are, the construction seems to be in too early a stage to decipher what they are to be. The overcast Hankley Common, UK background gives the sets a bleak aura.
TheOneRing.net also cited some information from a Hollywood Reporter piece on season two, which talks about the “war room” where the conference tables are surrounded by concept art. The clues indicate a massive two-episode battle in season two and more iconic Middle-earth locations and characters. In addition, Cirdan the Shipwright, one of the Elven ring-bearers, has been confirmed to be in season two.
Little else was revealed beyond the set photo leaks and the description of the “war room,” but since we have to wait two years for the next season, there’s sure to be much more information.
