'Inside Out 2' Will Be Pixar's Next Film In Theaters June 2024

In 2015, Pixar produced Inside Out, a movie about Riley, an 11-year-old girl, and her family moving from Minnesota to California. The audience gets the main action from the events Riley’s going through and also the emotions going on in Riley’s brain. We’re going to see Riley growing up in the sequel, Inside Out 2, coming exclusively to theaters on June 14, 2024. It’ll come to Disney+ a few months after that. In the original movie, Riley’s brain was run by Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger but there will be new emotions coming in the sequel for teenage Riley getting older.

Inside Out 2 will be directed by Kelsey Mann, who came up with the idea for the sequel and added new personified emotions to Riley’s brain. The director of the first Inside Out, Peter Docter, will still be on the production as a producer. Meg LeFauve is writing Inside Out 2, known for Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur, and Onward. Amy Poehler is set to return for the sequel, reprising her role as Joy, Phyllis Smith will be returning as Sadness and Lewis Black will be back as Anger. Mindy Kaling, who played Disgust in the first film, and Bill Hader, who played Fear originally, will not be back for the sequel.
