5. ’Assassin’s Creed Mirage’ Gets Release Month Leaked

Fans of the Assassin’s Creed series have been waiting for the next game of Mirage to get a release date. Well, thanks to a leak, a release month is now known.

Over on the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, an employee of GameStop shared an image from the computer systems that show marketing data for upcoming games. That data includes release dates both publicly known and unknown. Though the image mostly focuses on the latest Assassin’s Creed, the known release date of Final Fantasy XVI can be seen above it. That being June 22. For Mirage, the release month is August.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a smaller-scaled game paying homage to the franchise’s origins for the 15th anniversary. Focusing more on stealth and close-quarters combat around a dense city. That city is Baghdad, with players controlling Basim as he grows into a true assassin of the Brotherhood.

Of course, the future of Assassin’s Creed is not just returning to its roots, with a lot of leaked codenames for new games and a basic idea of what those games are. Codename Red will continue the single-player games after Mirage, while multiplayer and mobile experiences will be coming, as well as a VR game in Codename Nexus.

4. Zendaya Possibly In ‘Princess Diaries’

Many people were first introduced to actress Anne Hathaway for her role as Mia Thermopolis in the Disney Channel movie, Princess Diaries. It told the story of a high school girl, who finds out she is a princess, after her aunt, the Queen of Genovia, played by Julie Andrews, comes to visit. Her world is turned upside down as she has to grapple with being both a teenage girl and a princess. A sequel was made a few years after and told the story of Mia embracing her life in Genovia, and trying to find a husband. A few months ago, it was announced that a third installment is in the works, and it seems that Disney is eyeing a popular actress for the main role.

According to DanielRPK, he reveals that the third movie will follow Mia, played by Anne Hathway, becoming Queen of Genovia. Julie Andrews has expressed uncertainty about her return, and if this plot point is true, then something could’ve happened to her character. With Mia’s ascent to the throne, opens up a need for a new Princess. DanielRPK has said that there will be a new princess and that Disney is eyeing Zendaya for the role. It’s unknown if any talks have even started to happen yet, and there’s no guarantee she will even appear.

A few years back, there was talk of a Disney+ spinoff being planned, and focusing on Mia’s half-sister. It is unknown if the upcoming movie will use this plot point. Aadrita Mukerji is currently writing the script for the third movie. It is unknown if it will release in theaters, or be exclusive to Disney+.

3. Kanan Jarrus To Appear In Live Action

This is a spoiler warning for Star Wars: Rebels and will reveal the fate of Kanan Jarrus. Kanan was Caleb Dume, former padawan of Depa Billaba. In a heroic effort, Kanan sacrifices himself to save the Ghost crew one last time on Lothal whilst also halting Thrawn’s TIE Defender program. Also, Kanan Jarrus and Hera Syndulla had a child. Unlike Obi-Wan Kenobi or Yoda, Kanan could not preserve himself through the Force as a Force Ghost. This would not stop Kanan as he would preserve his consciousness through the Force as a Loth-wolf.

In the final season of Rebels, a Loth-wolf calling itself Dume would find its way to Ezra. Giving Ezra a powerful Force vision, Dume would lead Ezra to the World-Between-Worlds to save Ahsoka Tano from impending doom. Kanan’s voice appears decades later in The Rise of Skywalker. Like many other Jedi, Kanan calls out to aid Rey Skywalker through the Force to destroy the Eternal Sith Emperor.

The Ahsoka series aims to bring the Ghost crew to live action. For Rebels fans, Hera could tell stories of Jacen's father to him with flashbacks or even holorecordings. Another likely option is Ezra communicating with Kanan through the Force or by using old Jedi holocrons like Ahsoka did for Anakin Skywalker.

2. ’Fantastic Four’ Cast Is Finalized, According To Rumor

It seems like every month brings a new rumor about the MCU reboot of Fantastic Four. We’ve heard so many by now that it’s hard to keep straight what is the current one. There’ve been rumors of Adam Driver as Reed Richards, Mila Kunis as The Thing (though she seems to have struck that one down recently), and that Galactus and Silver Surfer are the antagonists.

Well, add this one to the pile. According to Grace Randolph, who has a strong track record, casting has been finalized. She’s claiming it’s likely Driver as Reed, but can’t confirm. Her sources also seem to have shot down the Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm rumor. The tweet states that she’s trying to get confirmation. This was as of May 3, and there’s been no follow-up tweet.

This would track given that the biggest cons of the summer are coming, with San Diego Comic-Con starting July 19. It would make for a big reveal to announce the cast of one of the most popular franchises in Marvel history, and one that fans have been clamoring for a solid adaptation after the last two attempts.

Time will tell.

1. VGC Editor Drops Hint About Upcoming Star Wars RTS Game from Major Studio

A new Star Wars real-time strategy (RTS) game from a "big-name" developer is rumored to be in the works, according to insider reports. The rumor comes after a tweet from GamesRadar's Joe West expressed his desire for a follow-up to the admired Empire at War game. In response, VGC editor Andy Robinson teased that a new Star Wars RTS from a big-name developer may be on the horizon.

Although Robinson did not reveal the name of the developer, his tweet suggests that the studio behind the new Star Wars game is well-known in the gaming industry. Moreover, Robinson hinted that the project has not yet been officially announced, which could mean that it is still in the early stages of development. It's worth mentioning that the project mentioned by Robinson is distinct from the confirmed title being developed by Bit Reactor, a studio comprising former XCOM producers who have joined forces with Respawn Entertainment.

This rumor has sparked speculation among Star Wars and RTS fans alike. Some are wondering if the new game could be a follow-up to the beloved Empire at War, which was released in 2006. Others are speculating that the game could take inspiration from popular RTS titles like StarCraft or Age of Empires.

One thing is for sure: the Star Wars franchise has a long history in the gaming world, and a new RTS game from a top-tier developer would undoubtedly generate a lot of buzz. Fans will have to wait and see if this rumor comes to fruition, but for now, the possibility of a new Star Wars RTS is unquestionably exciting.
