Alas, the adventures of Bean, Elfo, and Bean’s personal demon Luci are ending. The Netflix original series was initially set for just 20 episodes upon its premiere in 2017, “Disenchantment” lasted for five seasons. The fifth and final season will be released on the first of September where viewers will witness Bean in a head-to-head battle with her mother Queen Dagmar and her wicked rule. Not only this, but Bean must also “outrun a prophecy that foretells she will kill someone she loves”. Truly, the show tends to go out with a bang.
Fans will be enjoying the final voice performances from Abbi Jacobson, Eric Andre, Nat Faxon, Richard Ayoade, and Billy West. Not to mention hearing such beloved voice actors John DiMaggio and Tress MacNeille adding their special talents to the final season of “Disenchantment”. According to the official description of the final ten episodes, “The stakes are as high as ever as [Bean, Elfo, and Luci] face Satan, a headless corpse, an evil scientist, and most terrifying of all, their true destiny.” What the true destiny is will be unknown.

Each of the main characters, especially Bean, has been through so much in forty episodes. “Disenchantment”’s loyal fanbase will surely not want to see one of the central characters get killed, especially Bean’s love interest Mora nor her father. While the fates of the characters are just as open to debate and interpretation, the final ten episodes will reveal some long-awaited secrets. September can’t come soon enough.
