'Inside Out 2' Has Becoming One Of The Fastest Earning Films Of All Time After Crossing $1.2 Billion After 3 Weeks
Inside Out 2, a unique and captivating sequel, made its theatrical debut on June 14th. It quickly captured the hearts of moviegoers, surpassing the domestic box office with a staggering $151 million. It even outshone other films released throughout the year, such as Dune: Part 2 and Barbie.
Inside Out 2 didn't just rise to the top, it soared, dominating the American box office for three consecutive weekends. In a mere 19 days after its debut, the film had already grossed a staggering $469.3 million in North America.

The film’s triumph at the box office comes as a ray of hope for Hollywood Studios, such as Pixar, during these challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. As they eagerly await the return of audiences to movie theaters, the success of Inside Out 2 stands in stark contrast to the perceived market failures of other Pixar films like Turning Red, Soul, and Luca.
Michael O’Leary, President and CEP of the National Association of Theatre Owners, spoke with Variety, saying, “The film’s stunning global success once again illustrates that audiences the world over will respond to compelling, entertaining movies and that they want to enjoy them on the big screen.”
Inside Out 2 features Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, and Lewis Black as Anger, who brilliantly bring to life the emotions of a young girl, Riley. The film is skillfully directed by Kelsey Mann.
