'Jennifer’s Body' Is Dominating Disney+
Sometimes, it’s not what you expect.
Disney+ is one of the most popular streaming services right now. From most of the classic movies to Star Wars content to mega-hit shows like Bluey, the content library is vast, so most people who want to find something can. That includes R-rated horror movies. Given Disney’s media umbrella, there is plenty of adult content on the streaming service, including the entire Saw franchise. I didn’t believe it until I looked it up either.
So for any parents that let their kids watch it largely unsupervised, make sure that your kids don’t click onto The Omen once they’re done with P.J. Masks.

Now we’re seeing one such film dominate the platform. With a Disney+/w Hulu combo, you can watch the cult horror movie Jennifer’s Body, which a large number of people seem to be doing; it’s peaked at #5 on Disney+ charts. Upon release, the film wasn’t a huge success with audiences, garnering a $31 million box office on a $16 million budget, nor with critics, gaining just a 46% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it is now viewed as a cult feminist film, led by Megan Fox at the height of her popularity and Academy Award nominee Amanda Seyfried.
It’s always interesting to see a movie gain success years after its initial run. Some of the most beloved films of all time have seen late successes. While it’s unlikely that Jennifer’s Body will join the ranks of Psycho and The Night of the Hunter, it’s certainly making a comeback.
But seriously, make sure your kids don’t go from Phineas and Ferb to The Sixth Sense.
