A new Star Wars novel that details how a Jedi falls into the ranks of the Inquisitorius is soon to be released. Now, the full synopsis for Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade has been released by Penguin Random House.

With all the Inquisitors that have been seen across Star Wars media since Rebels first introduced them with the Grand Inquisitor, there is a focus these last few years on their origins. What made them turn to the dark? Reva from Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi. Trilla from the video game Jedi: Fallen Order. And now, Jedi Knight Iskat Akaris in this new novel.

Who Was The Inquisitor in Episode 6 Of 'Tales Of The Jedi'

First introduced in Charles Soule’s Darth Vader comic series in 2018, Rise of the Red Blade deals with Akaris’ waning faith in the Jedi Order as she asks forbidden questions. Distrusting the Council’s decisions and restrictions as she wants more freedom and knowledge. With the coming of Order 66, she embraces the freedoms she has now been given upon being inducted into the Inquisitorius.

The full synopsis is available to read on store pages for the book, which you can preorder now ready for its release on July 18. The previous novels of Delilah S. Dawson, Phasma, and Black Spire, focus on the period of the sequel trilogy and are available to read now.
