Who Was The Inquisitor in Episode 6 Of 'Tales Of The Jedi'
Tales Of The Jedi gave us a glimpse into the life of Count Dooku, before his fall to the Dark Side, and the early days of Ahsoka. The last episode showed us Ahsoka in the aftermath of Order 66. We see her hiding at Padme’s funeral, and meeting Bail Organa. She then hides out in a mysterious world, using the name Ashla. Eventually, her Jedi ways are found out, and an inquisitor is sent to kill her. Some say it was the same Inquisitor she fought in the book, and others are saying its a completely new character, whoever it was never had a chance against her.
The inquisitors were first seen in Star Wars canon, in the form of The Grand Inquisitor in Star Wars: Rebels. He was the primary villain in the first season and terrorized Kanan and the rest of the Ghost crew. More have been added throughout the years, like Reva (Third Sister) from Obi-Wan Kenobi and Second Sister from Jedi: Fallen Order. They were all former Jedi who Palpatine recruited into his service, to do nothing more than hunt the Jedi who survived Order 66. They were relatively weak, so they could take down Padawans and weak Jedi Knights. However, against a Jedi Master, or an experienced Jedi Knight, they would have been powerless.

In the Ahsoka novel, she fights the Inquisitor known as the Sixth Brother. In an interview with Dave Filoni, he said that Tales Of The Jedi reclaims the original story he gave Lucasfilm years ago and that it “was always the same story”. So it could be that the Inquisitor we see in this episode is the same one we see in the Ahsoka novel, just with a completely new redesign. In the credits, he was just labeled as “The Inquisitor”. If this is the Sixth Brother we’ve seen before, then the new design is much more sinister and impressive than the original design.
However, this could be a completely new Inquisitor, instead of the Sixth Brother. Ahsoka decapitated the Inquisitor, so finding out who they are may be difficult, especially because it seems that the head is deflated. This means that a pressurized suit was worn. A user on Reddit has speculated that the Inquisitor could be a Skakoan, due to the suit and the eyes. The same species as the Separatist leader, Wat Tambor.
The events of the Ahsoka novel and episode 6 of Tales Of The Jedi tell similar stories, but things have changed. She meets Bail Organa much earlier in the episode, and the fight lasts much longer in the fight. The book even shows how she gets her white lightsabers. So is this Inquisitor the same one as the novel, or a completely new character? We won’t know until Star Wars confirms it, so all we can do is speculate.
