'Arcane' Season 2 Trailer "Come Play" Has Been Released
Arcane fans can rejoice, as another trailer for season two has dropped, titled ‘Come and Play’. The League of Legends spin-off was Netflix’s highest-rated show in 52 countries and won a Prime Time Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program. It’s been a three-year wait for season two, but from the footage so far, it looks as if it’s going to be well worth it.
Vi and Jinx/Powder are on opposite sides of a brewing war between the city of Piltover and its oppressed underbelly, Zaun. There’s no sign of this rivalry abating in the trailer, but it does still emphasise the sibling bond is not dead and buried. Caitlyn is starting to look more like her League of Legends counterpart in her new wardrobe, with more shots of Vi with black hair. Ambessa Medarda is also front and center despite only having a small role in season one.
RELATED:
Interestingly, it’s rumored that season two will bring the Inx officially into canon. The group appears in CONV/RGENCE: A League of Legends Story as a street gang that worships Jinx. They certainly would fit with the direction of where the plot seems to be heading. The animation studio, Fortiche, has a habit of sneaking easter eggs into inane details in the scenes, and some can be spotted if you have a sharp eye.
The episodes will be released in three parts, with a total of nine expected.
Act 1: November 9, 2024
Act 2: November 16, 2024
Act 3: November 23, 2024
