Andor Season 1 focuses tightly on the development of its lead, Cassian Andor. At the start of his journey, Andor only seeks to find his missing sister. After encountering the brutality and oppression of the Empire, Andor decides to stop running away and join the Rebellion.
Watching Andor progress from survivor to freedom fighter is satisfying by itself. However, Andor brings up several potential story threads beyond Andor's personal growth. Below are five burning questions regarding future Andor installments.
5. How Many Prisoners Survived Narkina 5?

The most harrowing storyline in Andor takes place on Narkina 5. Andor experiences harsh working conditions and intense security systems in an Imperial prison throughout a three-episode arc. During this ordeal, Andor and his fellow inmates realize that the Empire intends to use them as cheap labor indefinitely.

With the help of floor manager Kino Loy, the inmates hatch an escape attempt. The plan works, and the inmates leap from the prison walls into the water below and swim for safety. Andor meets up with another prisoner named Melshi, and they wonder how many others made it out. A reunion between Andor and Melshi seems likely, as does a passing reference to other survivors.
4. How Expansive Is The Rebellion?

The Rebellion, as shown in Andor, appears small. A mere handful of rebels participate in the raid on Aldhani. Even when most of the party dies in the attempt, Luthen Rael treats the robbery of an Imperial payload as a success. The lives lost were the cost of grabbing the Empire's attention.
However, Luthen appears to manage a more extensive Rebel network. While operating secretly from an antique art shop, Luthen communicates with similar bands of rebels, and Luthen is careful to keep this network's exact size and whereabouts private. Andor Season Two could show the Rebellion grows from a secretive band to a force large enough to fight the Empire in the open.
3. What Causes Mon Mothma's Rise To Power?

In public, Mon Mothma presents as an idealistic but weak member of the Galactic Senate. In private, Mon Mothma slowly gathers support and funding for the Rebellion. She coordinates with Luthen Rael, although she takes issue with his willingness to sacrifice civilians.
What prompts Mon Mothma to step out of the shadows and officially take the helm of the Rebellion remains unclear. The Imperial Security Bureau could discover Mon Mothma's true intentions and force her into the open. Alternatively, Mon Mothma could find herself at odds with Luthen Rael's leadership and decide to step forward after the pair have a falling out.
2. How Will Andor Become An Assassin?

In Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Andor shows his skill as an assassin. An expert marksman, Andor receives orders to shoot Galen Erso, the architect of the Death Star. This assignment is clearly not Andor's first outing, and Andor has Erso in the scope of his rifle before deciding to call it off.
From the start of Andor, Andor has taken care of himself. He is an excellent fighter, survivalist, and problem solver. Future seasons could show Andor expanding upon his aptitude for combat with an expert, training to become an assassin, and taking on hit jobs on high-level targets.
1. What Is The Significance Of Kenari?

Andor Season One reveals that Andor originated on the now-abandoned planet of Kenari. This Mid Rim system is covered in a lush jungle and populated only by a handful of leftover indigenous youth. According to the official story, much of the planet's surface lies in ruin and covered in toxic fumes following a mining disaster.
The young people on Kenari show what it is like to scrape by in the face of disaster. Their storyline provides powerful insight into Andor's background and mindset. However, the role Kenari might play in the grander narrative has yet to be discovered.
