A brand new trailer, and supposedly the final trailer to boot, for Andor Season 2 has dropped!

It strikes a much different tone than the first trailer from the end of February and cuts closer to the style seen in the majority of other Star Wars trailers over the past several years. At just over a minute long, it is also a brief trailer, with several shots taken from the special look and first trailer, but there are also notable or mysterious moments peppered throughout its runtime.

First and foremost, the trailer emphasizes that we are going right up to Rogue One by featuring a scene of Saw Gerrera on Jedha, looking out to Jedha City in the distance. We were already aware the final arc of the season would take us to a point incredibly proximate to the film which launched Diego Luna’s character to prominence, but this makes it clear to a wider audience.

Other notable moments include scenes almost certainly tied to what we’ve called the Sienar Heist here at CultureSlate, showing that the Ferrix Four as we’ve also dubbed them, are far from alone in their agricultural haven. Dozens of other laborers eat and laugh with them, but also look tense as Imperial vessels slowly lumber down from the distant sky.

A flurry of brief character glimpses dot the rest of the trailer, showing dynamic scenes from what must be Leida’s wedding, to a shot of a Lambda shuttle resting on the landing pad of a stone mountaintop structure, to Luthen’s partner Kleya shedding a tear. Over all of it wails the familiar Imperial klaxon seen in countless pieces of media, though near the end, a chant of voices rises against the alarm to offer their own deafening sound.

It is a powerful trailer, and something that will keep us excited over the next few weeks before Andor Season 2 debuts on Disney+ April 22nd, 2025.
