Kaitlyn Dever Rumored To Be Cast As Abby For Season Two Of ‘The Last Of Us’
**** Spoilers For The Last of Us: Part II ****
With news of work on season two of The Last of Us on Max resuming following the conclusion of the writer's and actors' strikes, casting news was sure to follow.
While season two of The Last of Us is said to cover Part II of the game, that information set fans and the internet into a speculation frenzy on who would play the other playable character in Part II, Abby. That speculation has now led to a rumor that it will be Kaitlyn Dever.
Kaitlyn Dever has seen some notable work recently after her work on Last Man Standing, in films like Booksmart and No One Will Save You. If this rumor is true, this might well be the highest-profile role she’s had so far.
Abby is a major player in the second game, having killed Joel Miller for his role in killing her father. This sets Ellie on a cross-country revenge quest.
As filming is set to begin in February 2024, this should be confirmed or debunked rather soon.

Will ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 4 Be A Movie?
The Strikes in Hollywood had a lasting impact on the major studios and the franchises they owned, Star Wars was among many of them. It would seem that the strike has impacted Star Wars in more ways than one with some setbacks and delays in streaming shows it would now seem that The Mandoverse may be heading for some changes as well.
According to Jeff Sneider on his podcast, The Hot Mic a source from Disney informed him that it seems likely that The Mandalorian Season 4 is being reconfigured into being a movie, and not only that perhaps the movie that comes before Rey’s New Jedi Order film. Though nothing has been confirmed Sneider says that is highly possible for the change to occur and maybe be announced by the end of the year
The Mandalorian Season 3 ended in 2023 with most of the major plot threads wrapped up. Now the era is heading into a new story arc with the return of Thrawn and the Imperial Remnant heading for a major clash with our heroes.
Hopefully, this will also mean Star Wars returns to theaters sooner rather than later and with the return of some of our favorite heroes. Disney has stated no Star Wars film will be released until May of 2026 though that could be subject to change.
It’s an exciting time for Star Wars fans and the galaxy far far away at large.

Is A ‘Sinister Six’ Movie In The Works?
The Sinister Six have always been a part of Spider-Man stories. While maybe not always in a group setting, each individual has been a villain of Spider-Man at one point. The original Sinister Six consists of Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Kraven the Hunter, Sandman, Electro, and Mysterio, each of whom we have seen in recent live-action Spider-Man films. It seems that Sony has been trying to make a Sinister Six movie since the mid-2000s. The movie would’ve taken place after Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, with Spider-Man being the final member, after being tricked by Norman Osborn. It seems that dream might be alive again, as a Sinister Six movie may be in the works this time.
Sony owns Spider-Man, and all of its characters, so it is no surprise their trying to create their own “Spidey-Verse” but without an actual Spider-Man. They have had the Venom movies, Morbius, and the upcoming Madame Web and Kraven The Hunter movies, all of which could lead to a Sinister Six movie. The movie would not include the original Sinister Six and instead could include, Morbius, The Vulture, Venom, Kraven the Hunter, Rhino, and Ezekiel. It is also possible we could get a Spider-Man thrown in there as well.
At this point, it's unclear as to what the team would be assembled to do. The Morbius post-credits scene however shows us that Adrian Toomes was looking to assemble some bad guys to do some good. I don’t know how that would look in a movie, but nothing is out of the realm of possibilities. The Sinister Six have been around for a long time, with many different iterations, so it would be interesting to see how they would make an exciting movie, with the proposed characters. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how the spin-off movies do until we learn anything more.
