Will Ahmed Best Return To ‘Star Wars’?
Ahmed Best, best known as the voice of Jar Jar Binks in the Star Wars prequels, published a cryptic Instagram post of him wearing a motion capture (mocap) suit on Tuesday. The picture’s caption was: “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in. #mocap #starwars #jarjarbinks #activision #jedi #sithlord #kelleranbeq”.
There were immediately a few questions on everyone’s mind. One, would Jar Jar Binks be featured in an upcoming Star Wars video game, with regards to the #activision? Two, would it be a reprisal of Jar Jar Binks, or maybe, Best’s character on The Mandalorian, Kelleran Beq? Both were captured through hashtags on Best’s post. And finally, what does it mean that he included #jarjarbinks and #sithlord on one post?

Best later reshared an Instagram post from Debra Cardona that showed the two of them in motion capture suits, along with Nona Parker Johnson and Becky Boxer. Cardona’s post included the information “my director is the phenomenal Ahmed Best” and the hashtags #mocaptor and #videogames. All three ladies have a history providing voices for video games.
It seems possible that Ahmed Best, and the rest of the group, are voicing an upcoming game for Activision. Some propose that the motion capture footage might be a bonus feature on a current game, like as new skins for Call of Duty. No clear word yet from Best or Activision.
