The Official ‘Evil Dead’ Twitter Released A Teaser Ahead Of A New Trailer For ‘Evil Dead Rise’

Deadites unite!! A teaser for the trailer for Evil Dead Rise was released by the official Evil Dead Twitter account and Bruce Campbell, who included a brief introduction.
The film stars Alyssa Sutherland, Lily Sullivan, and Morgan Davies. Sam Raimi and Lee Cronin penned the script, with Cronin pulling double duty as the director. While he will not be starring in this film, Campbell mentions that he is a producer, and “he’s all over it like a cheap suit.” Evil Dead Rise marks the first time that Ash Williams will not be the film’s protagonist.

He then quips, “I guess you can say, I have a hand in it,” cheekily referencing his possessed hand from the original films. Campbell also says that he’s seen the finished product, it’s amazing, and it’s the scariest one out of all of the Evil Dead films.

New Line released a brief synopsis of the film:
“Moving the action out of the woods and into the city, “Evil Dead Rise,” tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Sutherland and Sullivan, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.”
Evil Dead Rise possesses theaters on April 21st.
