Some Early 'Starfield' Players Claim Exploration Is Limited, But There's More To It Than That

Starfield, Bethesda’s highly-anticipated sci-fi RPG, has boasted an epic exploration ability as a major feature. With the release date for the game rapidly approaching, some people have had the chance to play it early; others may have acquired access through less-than-legal methods. In both cases, players have reportedly stumbled across 'Boundary Reached’ messages, this information leaking despite NDAs and the like. Don’t fret, however, because this isn’t the full story.
Some of those who have had early access to the game, from streamers to influencers to media members, have done the best that they can to deny this rumor while staying within the legal boundaries of any NDA or other contract they have signed. They have asserted that the ‘Boundary Reached’ rumor is inaccurate and not the whole story, though they are unable to give a lot of details at this time. With a review embargo in place, the people with this access can take the time to properly review the game; on the flip side, they can’t share more specifics until it is lifted.

Starfield is currently set to release on September 6, 2023. Set in the year 2330, humanity no longer inhabits Earth, spreading out to an area now known as the Settled Systems. After a special encounter with an alien artifact, the player crosses paths with an exploration group aiming to figure out what else is out there in the vast universe. The game will be Bethesda’s first brand-new IP in over two decades. It will be available for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
