'Shang-Chi' Scribe Signs On To Write Next Legendary Monsterverse Flick
The ever-growing Monsterverse has welcomed a new writer to its ranks, one who’s built up quite the portfolio in recent years.
Following the success of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, which has grossed over $500 million at the box office, Legendary has tapped Dave Callaham to write the next theatrical installment of the Monsterverse.
This isn’t Callaham’s first time venturing into the world of Godzilla and Kong, as he is credited with writing the early drafts of the 2014 film Godzilla, the movie that launched Legendary’s Cinematic Universe, which now spans five films grossing over two billion dollars at the box office, and recently spawned the Apple+ series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters which now has a second season in the works.
