Paul Di'Anno, Ex-'Iron Maiden' Singer, Has Passed Away At The Age Of 66

Musician Paul Andrews, known professionally as Paul Di’Anno, passed away at his home in Salisbury at age 66, as confirmed by Conquest Music. Born in Chingford, East London, on May 17, 1958, Paul came to prominence as the lead singer for the heavy metal band Iron Maiden between 1978 and 1981. He sang on their self-titled first album and its follow-up “Killers”, both of which were groundbreaking successes. Since leaving Iron Maiden, Di’Anno has worked with other bands, such as Battlezone and Killers, alongside numerous guest appearances and solo efforts, racking up over 100 concert appearances by 2023.

Despite his continued success, Paul Di’Anno suffered from health problems that left him performing in a wheelchair. In 2022, he recorded an album with a new band, Warhorse, and released it earlier this year, followed by a retrospective album called “The Book Of The Beast”. Interviews around this time reflected on his time with Iron Maiden, his replacement, Bruce Dickinson, his health issue, and the treatment he was receiving. Di’Anno has been survived by six children and several bandmates, and his legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of fans around the globe.
