Panels, Dates, And Schedule Of Destination D23 Announced
This year’s Destination D23 event will be tied to Disney’s 100th anniversary, promising a “journey through every era of Disney, as we venture back through the last century of storytelling and look forward to a limitless future for the company.”
Taking place from September 8 through September 10 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at the Walk Disney World Resort in Orlando, the full schedule for the event has now been revealed. Presentations will occur on both Saturday and Sunday, with the opening presentation of the Saturday focused on celebrating Disney Parks. The opening presentation of the Sunday will be a showcase of Walt Disney Studios projects.

Other presentations on the Saturday will feature the characters of Disney, with ‘The Early ‘Ears – Ub, Oswald, and Mickey’ and ‘100 Years of Classic Characters: Unforgettable Stories’. More of the real-life experiences that Disney provides, with ‘Disney Cruise Line: 25 Years of Innovative Design at Sea’ and ‘EPCOT: Always in a State of Becoming’. And storytelling whether real or fictional with ‘National Geographic Live – Secrets of the Whales’, ‘Marvel: Beyond Earth’s Mightiest – Celebrating 60 Years of The Avengers', and ‘100 Years of Innovation: Magic in Every Medium’.
Other Sunday presentations cover fact-finding with ‘The Road to 1923: Walt Goes West’ and ‘Down the Rabbit Hole: The Disney You Didn’t Know’. Revisiting memories and moments of the past with ‘100 Years of Walt Disney Animation Studios’, ‘Weird Disney: Centennial Edition’, and ‘100 Years of Creativity: A Playful Look at Disney Imagination’. Some friendly competition is also afoot with the ‘Disney Global Ambassador Showdown’.
Across all three days, The Walt Disney Company Store and Mickey’s of Glendale will be open for people to shop at, along with the Ink & Paint Marketplace. Also across the three days will be The Plausible Impossible 60 Years of Disney Audio-Animatronics Technology feature, looking at the technology that brings Disney to life. The feature will be closed when presentations run. On Sunday, the Disney+ Hallowstream Costume Bash will give guests one final event after the FAN-tastic Finale ends this year’s Destination D23.
