'Sonic Frontiers' Getting Free Update At End Of September

The final update for Sonic Frontiers is upon us. SEGA recently released a teaser trailer for the last free DLC update for the landmark Sonic title. Though short, it has excited the fan base immensely. It features Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Eggman facing off against a new and powerful guardian. The update promises to be an expansion of the game's story with the ability to play as Tails, Knuckles, and Amy in addition to Sonic, making it the first time these characters have been playable in a mainline Sonic game since 2006's Sonic the Hedgehog.
The new story will be penned by Sonic writing veteran Ian Flynn, who also wrote the dialogue for the base game. Fans also took note of what appears to be a new super form for Sonic that has integrated the Cyber energy Sonic has absorbed during his Cyberspace travels on the islands, as noted by the character's blue eyes as opposed to the red his eyes typically sport in his super form. Much excitement and hype is surrounding this last update, and it seems to be a fitting conclusion to the landmark Sonic title. The update will speed onto all major platforms on September 28th of this year.
