Bethesda Has Revealed That 'Starfield' Has New Game Plus
The latest Bethesda RPG Starfield is just weeks away. A new interview between GQ and Todd Howard has revealed that the game will have a New Game+. The New Game+ feature incentivises replays of a game by allowing certain things – such as skill points and cosmetics – to be transferred to a new save. Starfield having such a feature is notable as previous Bethesda RPGs have lacked it.
Howard revealed New Game+ being in the game when saying Starfield delivers Bethesda’s “most immersive role-playing since 2006’s Oblivion. It gives you the flexibility and options to carve out a unique identity, and even adds a unique and exciting twist on New Game+ to incentivize continued and repeat play.” Howard didn’t elaborate on what makes the New Game+ in Starfield unique, or what will carry over between playthroughs. Logic would assume the customisation parts for your ship would do so, as that ship is pretty much your home for the entire game.
Starfield is the latest RPG from Bethesda Game Studios, a new IP that takes the Bethesda formula to space. An entire galaxy awaits players to explore, finding rare artefacts and chasing the answer to humanity’s greatest mystery. Starfield will launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC on September 6.
