Official Trailer For 'Transformers One' Dropped At Hasbro Pulse
In a new direction for the franchise, Transformers is returning to the past to tell the prequel story of Optimus Prime and Megatron in Transformers One. The CG-animated film will tell the story of the enemies before their rivalry began when they were just working bots without the power to transform. While Transformers may be going to the past with the story, its marketing went to the future as it launched the trailer in space in a historic Hollywood first. The spacecraft played the trailer from 125,000 above the Earth with Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry introducing the trailer.
The trailer shows the worker bots venturing to the surface and proving their worth. This prompts a wise bot to grant them the power to transform into cars, which they spent the rest of the trailer figuring out how to use in comedic, action-packed sequences. Hemsworth voices Orion Pax who will later become Optimus Prime, and Henry plays D-16, who is destined to become Megatron. Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Lawrence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm play Elita, Bumblebee, Alpha Trion, and Sentinel Prime with Steve Buscemi joining the cast as the film’s antagonist. The movie releases on September 20, 2024. Check out the trailer from Hasbro Pulse below.
