Netflix And Apple Announce New Streaming Bundles With Competitors
As studios are looking to increase streaming profits, Verizon revealed a surprising bundle with two competitors. Verizon myPlan customers can purchase a $10 add-on bundle that includes the ad-tiers of Netflix and Max. Verizon hopes this new bundle is the first of many as CEO Hans Vestberg claimed that forming new bundles is one of the company’s priorities. While Max has offered discounts before, like their Black Friday deal of six months of streaming for $3.99 per month, this marks the first Netflix discount.
Previously Verizon users could get a discounted plan, but the costs were shouldered by Verizon rather than Netflix. Disney+ and Hulu already have a streaming bundle, and other streamers are looking toward teaming up to improve profits. Apple TV+ is in talks to bundle with Paramount+.

Only time will tell what bundling does for the companies and the consumer’s bottom lines.
