Mahershala Ali Poised To Join 'Jurassic World' Cast
The urge to say “Welcome to Jurassic Park” might be too strong to resist as the famed saga will be welcoming a new member to the family. After Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, the latest Jurassic World film will roll out the red carpet for two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali which might be used for him having to outrun some T-Rexes for velociraptors. While the film is still under production, the new film has promise with “veteran” Jurassic Park scribe David Koepp.
According to Empire Online, little is known about the upcoming Jurassic World film, but cameos from Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and “the original trio” cannot be “ruled out”. If Ali confirms his involvement in the latest installment, he will be joining other A-list actors such as Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as they avoid the toothy reptiles.

On top of having the chance to be part of a long-standing film series, Ali has been attached to the character Blade while Marvel attempts to include the “daywalking vampire warrior” made famous by Wesley Snipes in the MCU. A bold decision considering the film project is stuck in production limbo. Portraying a rebooted Blade compared to a newcomer in the Jurassic World family are certainly worlds apart, but fans can only hope that the Jurassic team made Ali “a tempting offer” or “just really likes dinosaurs” and will be seeing the Moonlight actor evading nightmarish dinosaurs soon.
