LEGO Reveals Information And Pictures Of Huge 'Batman Returns' Batcave Set
LEGO has tackled many location-themed sets for a range of fandoms in the past. This latest addition takes things to the next level for Batman fans: starting in early June, fans will be able to recreate the Batcave in the Batcave Shadow Box LEGO set! With just under 4,000 pieces, the Caped Crusader’s secret base takes detail to the next level.
This set is modeled after Tim Burton’s 1992 film Batman Returns starring Michael Keaton. The Shadow Box opens up to reveal a detailed Batcave complete with the Batcomputer, a parking dock for the Batmobile, Bat-weaponry on display, and more little details to build and discover.

Along with the Batmobile dock comes the customized Chevy Impala itself. The vehicle will have detachable flame details for the exhaust and is decked out with hidden guns in the hood. This set also comes with seven mini-figures, including Bruce Wayne, two versions of his vigilante persona, Alfred Pennyworth, Catwoman, The Penguin, and Max Shreck. An interesting notable detail for the cowl and cape of the Batman costume is that they’re connected rather than separate as other sets have done.
The Batcave Shadow Box will be available for general purchase on June 8 while LEGO VIP members get access starting on June 5. It is recommended for consumers aged 18+ and will cost $399.99. A digital version of the instructions as well as a virtual 3D model will be available through the Builder app alongside the physical instructions.
