With the arrival of Star Wars Day comes the release of another new Fortnite crossover.  This crossover was teased midway through April with minimal details; the wait for more information is officially over!  The collaboration is switching things up compared to previous years, and it’s bringing in cool new weapons.  The specific game modes focused on this year are LEGO Fortnite, Battle Royale, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing.

The LEGO world meets the Rebellion as the player works to defend a village from the Empire.  Special weapons can be used to fight, from DL-44 Blasters to Bowcasters to thermal detonators and more!  A new Pass, called the LEGO Pass: Rebel Adventure, is available for purchase; with this Pass, the player can gain access to galactic-themed builds and a special-themed outfit.

Bowcasters are also featured in the Battle Royale mode.  The player has a new mission: free Chewbacca from an Imperial Roadblock.  The specific location will vary, but once you free the Wookiee, he gives you a Bowcaster and follows you around.  Other weapons can be utilized in this mode as well, such as Darth Vader’s lightsaber and E-11 Blasters.  There are also special Quests available to play for rewards.  The first phase was released on May 3, and the second phase will be released on May 7 at 9 AM ET.  It will end on May 14.

Fortnite Festival gets a Mos Eisley makeover as the iconic Cantina setting takes over the Jam Stage.  The player can create Cantina music and vibe with other players.  If you complete seven of the quests in this mode, you can unlock a Nabooian Seven-string Hallikset Guitar too!

The Rocket Racing mode will have a variety of new quests added over a period of time.  By completing these quests, the player can unlock special decals and a podracing-inspired trail!  The first wave of quests was released on May 3, and a second wave will be released on May 7.  They will be available until May 20.

The Fortnite/Star Wars collaboration officially kicked off on May 3, 2024.  Additional items are also available in the Shop.  Fortnite is a free-to-play battle royale that has six different game modes: Fortnite Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, Fortnite Creative, Fortnite: Save the World, and Fortnite Festival.  It is available on a variety of platforms, including Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and the Nintendo Switch.
