Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh are two of the most beloved children’s characters of all time. Entertaining families for generations, their wholesome images and characters made them iconic. However, all good things must come to an end at some point. With the character of Winnie the Pooh becoming public domain in 2023, we instantly got a slasher movie featuring him and Piglet cutting through a group of bland characters. It is already considered one of the worst films of all time, garnering five Razzies, including Worst Picture. The sequel was admittedly better, but not exactly high cinema.

But you know it was never going to stop with those two films, and with this announcement, we’re getting another one. We have had upcoming projects involving evil Mickey before, such as the horror film Mickey’s Mousetrap and the game Infestation ‘88, but now we’re getting the “best” of both worlds, combining evil public domain Mickey with evil public domain Pooh.

The upcoming film, creatively titled Mickey vs Winnie, describes the film being about “two convicts in the 1920s who escape into a cursed forest only to be dragged and consumed into the depths of the dark forest’s muddy heart. A century later, a group of thrill-seeking friends unknowingly venture into the same woods. Their Airbnb getaway takes a horrifying turn when the convicts mutate into twisted versions of childhood icons Mickey Mouse & Winnie-The-Pooh, and emerge to terrorize them.”

Well, hopefully it will at least be fun. The film has no set release date.
