According to The Verge, this event will be a deep dive into the next Call of Duty installment. The next CoD game is scheduled for a 2024 release, though an exact date has yet to be announced. According to Windows Central, American video game developing company Treyarch is taking the lead once again; one of their most recent installments was 2020’s Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The upcoming installment is reportedly centered around the Gulf War, an armed conflict between Iraq and a coalition of countries led by the United States that spanned from 1990 to early 1991.
