First Look At Ben Mendelsohn's Return As Orson Krennic In 'Andor' Season Two
Amidst a flurry of news regarding Andor Season 2, Empire Magazine has given us our first preview of the live-action return of Ben Mendelsohn to the galaxy far, far away.
The seasoned actor, who portrayed the infamous Orson Krennic in Rogue One, noted in his interview with Empire Magazine that his return would feature a very specific conflict, though not against Rebels. Instead, Krennic will be clashing with Denise Gough’s Dedra Meero, the ISB agent from Season 1 who almost succeeded in capturing “Axis”.
In further comments, Mendelsohn discusses just why Krennic and Meero will clash. “They’re all underlings to Krennic,” he says, likely referring to other Imperials any rung lower than himself. He also states that there are differences of opinion within the Empire, even if its various members are all looking at achieving the same goals. “If they didn’t see eye to eye, to me, it’s cute.”

Regardless of the odd choice in focus, the reveals and glimpses at what is to come in Andor have excited Star Wars fans. Andor returns on April 22nd, 2025, shortly after the conclusion of Star Wars Celebration Japan.
