Now that Deadpool has inserted himself deeper into the Marvel timeline to bring back arguably the best X-Men, it only seems natural to translate his new power of changing the timeline and comic references with other characters. This habit of bouncing around other heroes’ storylines and universes is expected to translate to Spiderman’s universe. Karan Soni, famous for his role as cab driver Dopinder in the Deadpool films, has discussed the “chance” to introduce Indian Spiderman from the Oscar-nominated animated Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse.

Borrowing a page from Deadpool’s book, Karan Soni has dipped his toes into playing more than one Marvel character. He could reference his involvement in these projects should Deadpool and Indian Spiderman cross paths. Soni is open to the idea of the two heroes meeting each other and exploring “the unique bond between Deadpool and Spider-Man” as depicted in comic books. In past iterations, Spider-Man has partnered with the Avengers and the Justice League (only to be turned down by Batman when he tried to join the Justice League). Still, Deadpool deeply admires Spiderman and longs for a connection despite their disagreements about Deadpool’s mercenary lifestyle and morals.

Given the contrast of Spider-Man’s morals stemming from his Uncle Ben and Aunt May and Deadpool’s lackadaisical need to be a traditional hero, Karan is eager to continue his journey into the Spider-Verse as any upcoming Deadpool projects have yet to be determined. With a deep emotional connection to the hero and upfront with how much his involvement in the Spider-Man lore brought new love and respect for Spider-Man, Karan loves “to be part of something that affects young people so much and moves them because that’s the purest reaction you’ll ever get.” Karan and fans of both the Spider-Man and Deadpool universes will be so lucky to be part of a world where the two can share the same screen and embark on crazy adventures.
