Hold onto your hats, music lovers! A Complete Unknown is set to take audiences on a wild ride through Bob Dylan's early career. This film, directed by James Mangold—the same genius behind the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line—zooms in on Dylan's transformative years in Greenwich Village in the early 1960s.

The official synopsis cites "New York, early 1960s. Against the backdrop of a vibrant music scene and tumultuous cultural upheaval, an enigmatic 19-year-old from Minnesota arrives in the West Village with his guitar and revolutionary talent, destined to change the course of American music. As he forms his most intimate relationships during his rise to fame, he grows restless with the folk movement and, refusing to be defined, makes a controversial choice that culturally reverberates worldwide."

This film is bringing some serious star power! Look out for Edward Norton as Pete Seeger, Elle Fanning as Sylvia Russo, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash, Dan Fogler as Albert Grossman, and Scoot McNairy as Woody Guthrie. This lineup is sure to bring the 60’s folk scene to life in a big way.

Plus, Mangold's got the script annotated by Dylan himself, adding a super personal touch to this already exciting project and he couldn’t be more thrilled, saying, “I’ve had the privilege of spending several wonderfully charming days in his company, just one-on-one, talking to him.”

Mark your calendars! A Complete Unknown is hitting theaters on December 25, 2024. Don't miss this musical adventure through the early days of Bob Dylan's legendary career.
