Fans of the 1990s sitcom need to get ready for more tossed salad and scrambled eggs because Kelsey Grammer returns as Frasier on October 13 on Paramount+. The press release for the upcoming series explains, “The new series follows Dr. Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge, and an old dream or two to finally fulfill. Frasier has re-entered the building.”

What is known so far regarding the reboot is two episodes will premiere on Paramount+, and the last eight episodes will premiere once a week on Thursdays. Paramount+ and Pluto TV will be the only platform to watch on; however, CBS Television will broadcast the first two episodes on October 17 at 9:15 PM EST.

As to whom from the original cast is returning, the initial press release mentioned only Grammer. Still, NBC’s TODAY Show is reporting Peri Gilpin will return as Roz Doyle and Bebe Neuwirth will come back at Lilith.

Grammar spoke with the TODAY show in February, explaining, “Niles (Crane) and Daphne (Moon) are not coming back. If there is a spot for a one-off appearance, they’re interested, I’m sure we would do something like that. But it’s a new world. It’s a new life. Frasier’s going back to Boston to put himself back in a place where he didn’t feel like he quite made it.”

The show's new cast members are Jack Cutmore-Scott, who will be Frasier’s son “Freddy,” and Nicholas Lyndhurst, who will be a friend of Frasier’s from college, Alan.

Frasier debuts on Paramount+ on October 13.
