All netizens needed was a picture of Jason Momoa and Ben Affleck together. Now anticipation is high for the appearance of the caped crusader in the upcoming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Jason Momoa posted two photos of himself and Ben Affleck with the caption: "REUNITED Bruce and Arthur. Love [you] and miss [you] Ben..." Most would have viewed this as two former colleagues bonding over stories and nothing more. The customary speculation concerning Ben Affleck returning as Batman would make its rounds as fans ponder on the “What if?” Then, Momoa made a third post.

Jason Momoa shared a video of himself making a commentary when a tour group passes by as he and Ben Affleck were on set:

"That's what happens, Warner Bros., when you walk out of your set, and there's our fans. [Laughs heartily]. Well, we tried to keep it a secret."

Then, in what could only be a tongue-in-cheek moment, the actor walks into a trailer labeled “B.A.” and apologizes to Mr. “B.A.” for the intrusion.

While there was barely a glimpse of Affleck in the clip, both the photos and the short video were enough to move the needle from speculation to all but confirmed. Momoa summed it up at the end of his post: “...all great things coming AQUAMAN 2.”. It appeared Ben Affleck would be donning the cape and cowl again in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Now that the secret has been revealed, there will be more speculations and theories. Intimations of a Justice League sequel (with Black Adam on the team) and an appearance or two of Batman's rogues in either or both superhero movies may begin to make their rounds on social media. Who knows there may be another super-powered team forming, one that's pound for pound the Justice League's equal. These rumors may prosper, and some may be forgotten, but they will only hype the film more.
