Amazon Drops First Trailer For Season Two Of ‘Good Omens’
And fans rejoiced as Amazon released the first trailer for the upcoming season of Good Omens, which sees the return of Michael Sheen and David Tennant needing to find the archangel Gabriel, played by Jon Hamm. The new season will debut on Amazon Prime on July 28.
In the second season, fans can expect the show to move beyond this initial source material of the novel Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, written by Neil Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett. Gaiman is an executive producer and co-showrunner working beside Douglas Mackinnon, who directs all the episodes. Gaiman wrote all six episodes for the season as well.

This second season spans six episodes with a new cast beyond the principles. Liz Carr is the angel Saraqael, Shelley Conn is the infamous Beelzebub, and Quelin Sepulveda is Muriel, the angel. And, of course, most notably Jon Hamm as Gabriel the archangel.
Once fans viewed the trailer, rumors began to speculate online of an ensuing love triangle between Sheen, Tennant, and Hamm’s characters. Gaiman responded to a fan through Tumblr, saying, “I don’t confirm or deny anything. You wait and see. That’s how it works….But if it’s any consolation, I’m not a big fan of moments of awkwardness or embarrassment in fiction.”
