A Final Update Video For 'Sonic Frontiers' Has Been Released

A new trailer for the Sonic Frontiers Final Horizon story update has been released. The trailer gives fans a better look at the expanded story campaign coming to the title. Set before the battle on Ouranos Island, it features the A.I., Sage, reconsidering an unlikely scenario from her numerous simulations. With the help of Sage and Dr. Eggman, Sonic sets the new plan in motion to convert the cyber corruption into a vast and previously untapped power source. Meanwhile, Amy, Tails, and Knuckles begin searching for the Chaos Emeralds on Sonic's behalf.
The new update appears to be an alternate ending to Sonic Frontiers and will feature the ability to play as Amy, Knuckles, and Tails in addition to Sonic. It also features several new tracks, referred to as New Chapter Themes, composed by the main composer for the title, Tomoya Ohtani, and these tracks are set to be released in Japan on October 2nd, 2023, as part of the 46 track album Paths Revisited. Sonic Frontiers has received a huge amount of support since its launch, and while it appears new content for the game may be coming to a close, fans will still have plenty to explore for years to come (or at least until the launch of Sonic Superstars). This story expansion speeds onto all major platforms on September 28th.
