Actors We Would Love To See In The ‘Harry Potter’ Series Part 2
The new HBO Max Harry Potter series is still one of the most talked about topics on social media. While most fans can agree on spin-offs and things they would like to see included in the series, the topic dividing fans the most is who will bring the beloved characters to life. I have already given my thoughts on who I would love to see portray the main characters in the series, but now let’s take a look at other actors I would love to see in the series!
13. Peter Dinklage: Griphook
Peter is best known for his role as Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones, but he is an incredible actor that I think would fit perfectly in the Harry Potter franchise! Griphook is such a fascinating character because he is incredibly intimidating and also devious and conniving which we get to see later on in the franchise. I feel like Peter fits this role perfectly!

12. Gwendoline Christie: Olympe Maxime
Gwendoline is most notably known for her role as Brienne of Tarth on Game of Thrones. She is an underrated actress, in my opinion, and I so badly want to see more of her! While Olympe Maxime’s role is minimal, I can’t think of anyone other than Gwendoline to portray her in the series! She brings so much grace and beauty to every role she is in, and that fits perfectly with this character.
11. Jonathan Pryce: Cornelius Fudge
Jonathan Pryce is a legendary actor who has shown time and time again how incredibly dynamic he is. Cornelius Fudge is one of the only characters that I truly feel was miscast in the original films. I think that Jonathan Pryce is the perfect actor to bring the Minister of Magic to life, and I think he would bring such a fascinating quality to the character that is missing from the films.
10. Adam Godley: Quirrell
Adam is mostly known for his role as the Archbishop ‘Archie’ on Hulu’s The Great, and he is hysterical. His character in The Great is so similar to that of Professor Quirrell that I can’t imagine anyone else taking on this role. He expertly creates a character that seems unassuming until he changes and becomes the perfect intimidating villain.
9. Cary Elwes: Gilderoy Lockhart
Cary Elwes is a legend and is most notably known for his roles as Westley in The Princess Bride and Robin Hood in Robin Hood: Men in Tights. I honestly can’t believe he wasn’t cast as Gilderoy Lockhart back in 2002 when the film came out. While I do love Kenneth Branagth’s portrayal of the character, I honestly always think of Cary Elwes when watching the second film.
8. Anya Taylor Joy: Bellatrix
Anya has burst on the scene in the last few years, and she is most recently known for her role as Margot in The Menu. Bellatrix Lestrange is an insanely difficult role to take on, and after how expertly Helena Bonham Carter did with her portrayal, this was a difficult character to cast. I honestly can’t think of anyone who could do the character justice other than Anya who brings just as much unique persona to her roles as Helena does.
7. Natalie Dormir: Narcissa Malfoy
Natalie is most notably known for her roles as Anne Boleyn on The Tudors and Margaery Tyrell on Games of Thrones. She is a great actress, and I think she would make an amazing Narcissa Malfoy. Her character, Margaery shared many things in common with Narcissa, so I think this would be a fairly easy role for her to take on.
6. Tom Felton: Lucius Malfoy
Tom Felton needs no introduction, and honestly, this casting choice needs very little explanation. Tom has been a mainstay in the Harry Potter fandom forever, and where most of his castmates talk very little about the franchise, he talks about it all the time. He is also still very close with Jason Isaacs who played his father in the films, and they call each other “dad” and “son”. This casting choice just makes sense.
5. Mark Hamill: Mad-Eye Moody
Mark Hamill is another legend who needs no introduction. I love Mad-Eye and honestly, he is one of my favorite characters in the franchise. He is such a complex character that I think fits perfectly with Mark Hamill’s personality. I can picture him in the costume and trying out different voices to figure out which one would fit best.
4. Millie Bobby Brown: Nymphadora Tonks
Millie is most notably known for her role as Eleven ‘El’ on Stranger Things. She is an amazing actress and I can think of no one better to bring Tonks to the small screen. I think that Millie would bring so much quirkiness and personality to the character.
3. Taron Egerton: Remus Lupin
Taron is most notably known for his portrayal of Elton John in Rocketman. He is an amazing actor that has shown there is no role he can’t take on. He has Lupin’s personality, and while he is a bit younger than we saw him portrayed in the film, I think it would still work perfectly. Plus he would fit so perfectly with my casting choices for Tonks and Sirius.
2. Nicholas Hoult: Sirius Black
Nicholas is mostly known for his role as Hank ‘Beast’ in the newer X-Men films. He is a hugely underrated and underused actor who has shown how dynamic he is in every role that he has taken on. I think that he is the only choice for a new Sirius Black as he gives off the same vibes as the character and even looks like him a bit.
1. Alan Tudyk: Dobby
Alan Tudyk is a legend and is most notably known for his roles as K-2SO in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Hoben ‘Wash’ Washburne on Firefly. His voice-acting skills are second to none, and he has shown that over the last few years. I think that if Dobby’s original voice actor, Toby Jones, is not able to return for the series then Alan Tudyk is the only other person that could bring this character to life.
