6 Worst Things Kingpin Has Done In The Marvel Comics
The Kingpin remains a powerful threat in the Marvel universe. Don’t let his outward appearance fool you. Wilson Fisk is powerful in more ways than one. Here’s a little list of some of the worst things he has done.
6. Attempted To Kill Daredevil’s friend
Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson are the best of friends. So naturally, when Daredevil stopped one of his plans, Fisk decided to send Elektra to kill Nelson. Fortunately, Elektra found out who Nelson was and refused to kill him, realizing what it would do to Murdock.

5. He Killed Those Who Failed Him
Wilson Fisk is a generous employer, but working for him is still dangerous. Either you get taken out by rivals, captured by the authorities, or make a simple mistake. Then, assuming you aren’t already dead at that point, you will have to deal with Kingpin. One of his enforcers, Tom Cochrane, planned a heist only to be foiled by everyone’s Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. After that, Fisk asked Cochrane for an ominous talk. Cochrane accepted his fate in order to save his family.
4. He Found Out Who Daredevil Was And Ruined His Life
Daredevil had been a thorn in Fisk’s life for who knows how long. Karen Page sold him his greatest secret that Daredevil was the lawyer Matt Murdock. With that knowledge, Wilson Fisk decided to ruin Murdock’s life. He froze Murdock’s bank accounts and framed him for a crime, preventing him from practicing law. Fisk had Murdock’s apartment blown up, and employed an impostor Daredevil to ruin the hero’s reputation. He even had Bullseye kill Elektra, breaking Matt’s heart. It just goes to show that Kingpin is not someone to mess with, as he will have his revenge.
3. He Got His Son And His Stepfather Killed.
It appears that life holds so little value to Wilson Fisk that he’s even willing to let his family die. In the Marvel MAX continuity, he killed his stepfather. In the MCU, he killed his biological father. When rival Rigoletto held Richard Fisk hostage, the Kingpin refused to give in to his demands, and let the man slit his son’s throat. Unsurprisingly, this contributed to the breakdown of Wilson Fisk’s marriage.
2. He Nearly Killed Aunt May
The old Parker's luck shone through on this occasion. After Spider-Man revealed his identity as Peter Parker during the Civil War event. Using this knowledge to his advantage, Fisk sent a sniper to take the webslinger out. Parker’s spider senses saved him and his wife, Mary Jane Watson, but they couldn’t save Aunt May, who got hit. This, in turn, led to one of the most infamous stories in Marvel’s back issues, One More Day, in which Peter sold his marriage to Mephisto to save Aunt May's life. That’s a story for a different article, however.
1. Manipulated Echo By Lying About Her Father’s Death
The Kingpin is more than capable of manipulation, even for those he cares about. When he took in Maya Lopez (better known as Echo) after her father’s death, he lied to her that it was Daredevil’s doing. This story was adapted into the MCU, but with Hawkeye replacing Daredevil. Eventually, Echo learned the truth, that it was the Kingpin himself who killed her father, and avenged his death. Although, that didn’t keep Fisk down for long.
The Kingpin is one of the more dangerous villains in the Marvel Universe. You don’t go against him unless you are adequately prepared.
