Science fiction and fantasy have become mainstream over the past decade thanks to the explosion of media content being churned out by franchises like Marvel, Star Wars, and DC. It is only human for an actor to wish to become immortalized as a part of these big-budget larger-than-life movies. With the enormous number of live-action and animated movies and television series being produced, an actor may get to work under more than one banner. Here are ten actors who have appeared in Marvel, Star Wars, and DC media.

10.  Tom Hardy

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Hardy played the titular role in Venom (2018), Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021). He will be reprising the role in the third installment. Now, this scene was technically cut from the movie but let’s not forget that Hardy donned the stormtrooper armor as FN-926 in The Last Jedi (2017). Hardy also played Bane, Batman’s ultimate nemesis, in Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

The Academy Award winner is well-known for playing Jane Foster in the Thor movies. Portman has portrayed Padmé Amidala in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. She gave a powerful performance as Evey Hammond in the 2005 film V for Vendetta (the graphic novel the movie was based on was originally published by DC).

Stamp played Stick, the mentor of Elektra in the 2005 movie Elektra. He portrayed Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum in The Phantom Menace (1999). Before all of this, Stamp played the role of General Zod in Superman (1978) and Superman II (1980).

7. Ben Mendelsohn

Ben Mendelsohn has portrayed the Skrull General Talos in Captain Marvel (2019), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and will reprise the role in the upcoming television series, Secret Invasion. He played the role of Director Orson Krennic in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016). He was Roland Daggett in The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

6. Jennifer Hale

Hale is an accomplished voice actor and has lent her voice to multiple Marvel, Star Wars, and DC characters. Hale has voiced Mary Jane Watson in animated series like Spider-Man Unlimited (1999) and Jean Grey in Wolverine and the X-Men (2009) among other Marvel characters. She voiced many characters in The Clone Wars (2008–2020) like Jedi Knight Aayla Secura, Senator Chuchi, Lolo Purs, and Trella Bare'Ah Hale has also voiced Carol Ferris in Green Lantern: The Animated Series (2012) and Killer Frost, Giganta, Zatanna, Inza in Justice League Unlimited (2004–2006) among other DC characters.

5. Alan Tudyk

Followers of science fiction and fantasy cinema are familiar with Tudyk’s work. Tudyk cameoed alongside Matt Damon as Redneck #2 in Deadpool 2 (2018). Tudyk also voiced Alistair Krei in Big Hero 6 (2014). Tudyk received much praise for voicing the droid K-2SO in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016). In the DC animated universe, Tudyk has voiced many characters, including Clayface and Calendar Man in Harley Quinn (2019–) and Superman in Justice League: War (2014).

4. Zachary Levi

Zachary Levi portrayed Fandral in Thor: The Dark World (2013) and Thor: Ragnarok (2017). He voiced Biff Tarkin in the unaired animated parody, Star Wars Detours. However, he is perhaps most well-known for playing the titular role in Shazam (2019) and in the upcoming Shazam: Fury of the Gods.

3. Ming-Na Wen

Ming-Na Wen played Agent Melinda May/The Cavalry in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013–2020). She portrayed Fennec Shand in The Mandalorian (2019–) and The Book of Boba Fett (2021), and voiced the character in The Bad Batch (2021–). Wen has also voiced Ellen Yin in the animated series The Batman (2004–2008).

He also played Alfred Pennyworth in Reeves’ The Batman (2022).
