2. Boyd Holbrook Rumored To Be Playing Harvey Dent/Two-Face In Second Matt Reeves ‘The Batman’ Movie
Matt Reeves revitalized the Batman movie scene when he made The Batman starring Robert Pattinson. It was a sort of return to the dark and cynical Tim Burton versions in the late 80s, with a more detective bent on the Batman story.
Recently it was revealed that The Batman: Part II was greenlit, and originally was scheduled for a fall 2025 release, but that has since been pushed back to 2026. It’s also been revealed that this is actually part of a planned trilogy, one that also exists alongside the Penguin series coming to Max.
Now we can add to that the news that Boyd Holbrook has been cast as Harvey Dent, otherwise known as the villain Two-Face, in the second movie. The weight behind this rumor was increased when it was confirmed that Holbrook’s stunt double was attached to the movie.
Boyd Holbrook broke onto the scene as the antagonist in Logan and as DEA agent Steve Murphy on Narcos. He was also the antagonist in the recent restart of Justified starring Timothy Olyphant. He has a certain panache for playing villains, especially those with a cocky swagger.
The confirmation of his stunt double seems to suggest this one is true, but we shall see as time goes on and more information comes to light.

1. 'Eternals 2' Will Be Reworked Into New MCU Project
Eternals had many mixed reactions when the film first came out. The film now however has a dedicated fanbase behind it. There have been rumors for a while about a potential sequel to the film, which has also been met with mixed reactions. Now, a new rumor suggests that the sequel will be reworked into a new MCU project.
Recently, Disney announced that they will be focusing more on “guaranteed hits” for the MCU, which would mean a sequel is highly unlikely. According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, the movie isn’t scrapped but is instead being worked into a new project. This however means that director Chloe Zhao will not be retuting.
The first movie ended on a cliffhanger, so the sequel could serve as a crossover event, and could even lead to an adaptation of the comic arc, Judgement Day. It’s the most recent crossover event between the Avengers and the X-Men, and with the X-Men back in Disney’s grasp, it would be the perfect time to adapt this arc.
Another option is a soft reboot of the IP. Neil Gaiman’s version of the comic run focused on the team scattered and with lost memories. This could allow the heroes to be across different sectors of the MCU, and have them be with other heroes. Eventually, they would all meet up again for one big team-up event.
Whatever happens with Eternals 2, fans will have to wait a while until we hear any news, especially with all the upcoming projects.
