‘Ahsoka’ Season Two Supposedly Set To Start Filming Soon

Ahsoka finished its first season back in October of 2023, and we quickly learned in January that there will indeed be a second season. That’s good news, especially given the way the first season ended. Not only do people want to know what happens next, but people are eager to see who will be cast to fill the enormous boots of the late Ray Stevenson.

Now, insider @DanielRPK on X says filming for season two will begin as soon as the fourth quarter of this year. Comic Book Resources thinks this means we could see it as soon as 2025. If filming doesn’t start until the fourth quarter of this year, it’s highly unlikely that we’ll see the season premiere in 2025. Filming is likely to finish early 2025, and then there’s significant time in post. A better bet would be early 2026.

Fans widely praised Ahsoka. It was heralded as season 5 of Rebels and reunited much of the crew of the Ghost. Fans were also treated to Clone Wars armored Anakin Skywalker, as well as (finally) a live-action Grand Admiral Thrawn. It’ll be exciting to see how season two pans out.

Tom Bombadil To Appear In ’The Rings Of Power’ Season 2

The first season of The Rings Of Power was released back in 2022, and the second season is expected to start streaming sometime in 2024. There have been various rumors and leaks regarding the second season, including some images of the season being filmed. A new rumor suggests however that a popular book character will have his life-action debut in season 2.

According to TheOneRing.net, Tom Bombadil will appear in season 2. The source says that he and his wife, Goldberry, will appear in one episode, and we will see them “serving out a punishment from Mandos”. The character of Tom Bombadil has not appeared in much, besides the books. He was left out of the movies, and even the animated film. He has been included in foreign adaptations, and even in the Lego Lord Of The Rings and Lego The Hobbit video games.

Book fans are quite familiar with this character. He is quite mysterious. The one ring does not affect him during his meeting with the hobbits. He enjoys rhymes and whimsical songs and has a very colorful wardrobe. He also teaches the hobbits a rhyme, that can get them out of trouble. It comes in handy later in the book, when they need him to rescue them from danger.

If he does indeed appear in season 2, it will most likely be as comic relief, for what’s supposed to be a much darker season than the first. It will be interesting to see who he will meet, and if he teaches them the same rhyme he taught the hobbits in the book.
