4. Indiana Jones 5 Trailer Leak

Indiana Jones

So, it’s finally out there.

It was only a matter of time before someone leaked the trailer everyone saw at D23.

It’s hard to see definitive scenes in the trailer, but the ambiance is fantastic. The tell-tale theme song for Indiana Jones has a nostalgic and definitive tempo to it, clearly pulling on the heartstrings of the franchise fans and giving a well-deserved send-off.

The trailer has everything you would expect in an Indy trailer. Car chases, gun fights, fist fights, and extreme archeology. There’s a wonderful flashback sequence, covering Indy’s previous exploits, with Ford narrating about the things he’s seen and done. We also get a glimpse of Sallah, reprised by John Rhys-Davies.

Interestingly, there seem to be several scenes shot underwater, indicating a likely plot line that takes Indy beneath the surface for the first time, which would be an interesting cap to the Ford-led franchise.

There’s also a brief clip of Phoebe Waller-Bridge, but with the quality of the video, it’s the only clear indication of her presence. Word on the web is that she plays his goddaughter. Speculation over her introduction into the franchise has her taking over the lead role after Ford bows out with this last go-round, taking the franchise in a female-led direction, but that is unconfirmed.

The clip ends with two things. For one, the release date of June 30. The other is a classic Indy moment, with him cracking the whip in a room full of baddies, commanding them to stay back, and they just pull out their guns. It’s rather reminiscent of his encounter with the swordsman on the streets of Cairo.

The one thing noticeably missing from the trailer leak was the title, which is still unknown. It would be a fair bet that we see the title when the actual trailer is released. Good money would be on that dropping sometime before the holidays.

3. Skeleton Crew Footage Leaked

Skeleton Crew

As Star Wars Disney+ productions continue to go apace Skeleton Crew seems to be the one that is knee-deep in filming. In terms of what they are actually filming it’s still very hard to say, although there have been various images coming out from their studio set in California State University, Domingus Hills thanks to the good folks at Bespin Bulletin.

According to Bespin Bulletin, they were able to capture a small scene that involves one of the characters supposedly played by Ravi Cabot Conyer (or at least their stunt double) riding a classic Star Wars Speeder Bike before being flung off of it. That was the only bit of information Bespin Bulletin was able to get, as they were able to film a bit of the rehearsal moment of said action sequence. By reading this one can deduce from this bit of information that we will be getting a few action-packed segments in this upcoming series.

Star Wars is known for its action and adventure, and a speeder bike segment is a classic going back to Return of the Jedi. It will be interesting to see what Disney+ can do with modern technology to create more elaborate speeder bike chases moving forward in future Star Wars series.

2. Mark Ruffalo In Talks To Be In Captain America: New World Order

Hulk

After D23 this year, we finally have some more information about the new Captain America movie, titled Captain America: New World Order. It will star Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson taking on the mantle of Captain America. D23 revealed that Carl Lumbly will reprise his role as supersoldier Isaiah Bradley. Danny Ramirez has also officially been revealed as the Falcon. We first saw both of these characters in Falcon and Winter Soldier. It was also revealed that Tim Blake Nelson will be reprising his role as the Marvel villain, The Leader. We first saw him in The Incredible Hulk, and this will be his first MCU appearance. Fans are excited to see this villain again, but he may not be the only Hulk character to make an appearance either-it's rumored that Mark Ruffalo is in talks to play the Hulk in Captain America: New World.

According to sources from Screengeek, Mark Ruffalo is currently in negotiations to reprise his role as the hulk in the new movie. With The Leader returning, this would be a great way to bring these two characters back together. Due to rights issues, it becomes difficult to give the Hulk any additional solo films, so appearances from Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk are key to telling his story. It would make sense for the Hulk to come back in Captain America: New World Order, to not only help tell Sam Wilson’s story but also continue his own.

Captain America: New World Order will be directed by Julius Onah, and written by Dalan Musson and Malcolm Spellman. The film will see many familiar faces as well. The film will hit theaters on May 3, 2024.

1. A Variant Cover Of Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #28 Featuring Iden Versio Leaks online

Iden Verso

It appears that Iden Versio will be making another canon appearance, expanding on the player character from the campaign of EA's Battlefront II (2017). A variant cover of Marvel's Star Wars Bounty Hunters #28 Revelations shows Iden in her Imperial Armor at the bottom of the variant art. During this period in the Star Wars timeline, Iden would still be an officer of the Empire at the height of its power. Versio was a smash hit with fans in the campaign of Battlefront II, to the point that a follow-up expansion was released. A rare feat for a game in 2017.

Sadly the issue won't be released to the public until November 2022. And who can say what Iden might be up to in issue #28 the marvel website description for the episode reads as follows.

Star Wars #28 variant cover

"PANIC AT THE ACCRETION DISCO! The bounty hunters are locked in a desperate attempt to escape the pull of a black hole! To make matters worse, the Pykes are out to kill them first! Meanwhile, what will Valance have to sacrifice to serve the Empire?"

Who can say for sure what part Iden would play based on that? Maybe she shows up to deliver an ultimatum to a bounty hunter pressing them into Imperial service. Or perhaps, she will be sent to defuse a situation. All I can say for sure is I can't wait to get my hands on Issue #28 of Star Wars: Bounty Hunters.
