3. The Acolyte Outdoor Set
It seems that The Acolyte might be getting ready for another ramp-up of production as Bespin Bulletin has reported that it soon might start filming sometime this month. Various set pictures have been popping up at Shinfield Studios, though what the set will be is hard to say. Many have speculated that perhaps what we are seeing being constructed is a mid-size village where our main character will be located. What exactly they will be filming is yet to be determined as they haven’t started yet. Rumor has it that filming will be going from October to May of next year and the series won’t be premiering until 2024 at the earliest.
From the shooting schedule’s length, it seems that this day Disney Plus show will happen for more than two years. Two years seems to be a relatively reasonable timeframe to make these various shows, giving them time to breathe and work on multiple production quality aspects like special effects. Hopefully, Acolyte will be top-notch Star Wars and continue to live up to the brand’s name and legacy. We still have a few more years to go, but the excitement is building for this show that will take us to a darker part of the galaxy.

2. Horizon Zero Dawn Remake
With The Last of Us Part 2 being a big success on the PlayStation 5, Sony felt a remake of Part 1 that made use of the improvements seen in that second part would make sense. Having released last month, it seems the same thing has been planned for another popular PlayStation exclusive. Rumors are that Horizon Zero Dawn is set to get the remake treatment.
Whether a ground-up remake or something resembling a remaster is unclear, but MP1st’s source revealed improvements to the lighting systems, animations, and textures which bring the 2017 title closer graphically to its sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, which was released earlier this year. Other things such as the accessibility options that Forbidden West introduced are set to come to this remake, as well as PlayStation 5-specific features.
While nothing has been seen by MP1st of this remake, a comparison between the two games that they had made after Forbidden West’s release shows the sort of visual enhancements that a remake could see. Details are sharper and more defined, with a lot more detail able to be utilized on individual textures and models. The lighting improvements bring more definition to those models, with better shadows within more minor parts of that model.

1. Daredevil: Born Again Production
Back in July at San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige officially announced that a new Daredevil series, titled Daredevil: Born Again was officially in development. The show will consist of 18 episodes, the longest episode count we have seen of any Marvel show so far. The show will premiere sometime in the Spring of 2024. It was also announced that Charlie Cox will be reprising his role as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio will be back as Kingpin. Originally it was reported that production would begin in May 2023, but new rumors indicate it may have been pushed up to February 2023.
According to Jason Fisher of Discussing Film, Marvel may start production as early as February 2023. It’s Marvel’s longest series yet, and are set to film the entire year. They are also foregoing their usual filming in Atlanta, and are back in New York for Daredevil: Born Again. Charlie Cox has teased the return to New York for filming, and it seems they might keep it as true to the Netflix show that came before.
We’ve already seen Charlie Cox back as Daredevil during Spider-Man: No Way Home and most recently his first MCU appearance in She-Hulk. Production being moved up would make sense, as it seems Charlie Cox is eager to get back into the role.
Daredevil: Born Again will premiere sometime in Spring 2024 on Disney+.
