Key And Peele Set To Reunite For 'Wendell And Wild' On Netflix This October
“Crazy crazy does, does, does is crazy.”
The opening line of Key and Peele's theme from their old Comedy Central series accurately describes our feelings leading up to the premiere of a new series starring the pair. This will be their first project together since the film Keanu following the cancellation of their hit series. While that movie may have flopped, their next series Wendell and Wild gives us a promising first look in a clip released today by Netflix.
Not much is known about the exact plot of the series that is helmed by Henry Selick, the director of Coraline. While the small clip released today does not give away anything, it is enough to leave viewers wanting more. The animation design immediately reminds viewers of Coraline along with the spooky, eerie vibes that are set forth by the clip. Opening with a beatbox that has an eye for a speaker, a song plays until it zooms in on a girl sneaking through the halls of a high school. She makes her way to and peers through the window of a classroom. Upon entering, she opens up a drawer revealing a teddy bear inside. Then, the screen is taken back to that boombox with the instructions to keep an eye on katsboombox.com.

IMDb has this to say about the upcoming Netflix series:
"Two scheming demon brothers, Wendell and Wild, must face their arch-nemesis, the demon-dusting nun Sister Helly, and her two acolytes, the goth teens Kat and Raul. However, Raul cannot see them so Kat helps Wendell and Wild to help him."
A cast reveal trailer was released in March, showing not only the cast but the character designs for their characters. Key and Peele will star as the eponymous characters. However, Netflix seems to be keeping any footage related to the comedic duo close to their chest. The duo has gone in different directions since Keanu with Keegan Michael Key continuing to fill us with laughter and Jordan Peele redefining the horror genre. Hopefully, their comedic chemistry has not gone in different directions as well.
Check out Wendell and Wild when it premiers on Netflix this October.
