Yerin Ha Has Been Cast As Benedict Bridgerton's Love Interest In 'Bridgerton' Season 4
Bridgerton has finally cast the season four lead. Benedict Bridgerton’s love interest aka Sophie Beckett will be played by Yerin Ha. She is relatively new to acting, but her resumé has been filling up with action roles, from Dune: Prophesy to Paramount plus’ Halo adaption.
Her impressive audition tape leaked online, which might have led to the reveal coming a little earlier than Shondaland planned. Yerin Ha is likely to make a very feisty Sophie, with a little more bite than the sweet girl in the books. But Shondaland’s version of Benedict might suit that.
Season four will be based on An Offer From A Gentlemen by Julia Quinn, which is a Cinderella inspired romance between a servant and the second son in the Bridgerton household. She is expected to win Benedict’s heart at a much-anticipated masquerade ball.
An Offer From A Gentlemen was actually the third novel, taking place before ‘Polin’, so fans have been waiting for Sophie to arrive for quite some time. Yerin Ha won’t take to the screen until 2026 as it’s expected to take a full two years to film the next entrant in the popular show. Season 3 was the most streamed show across any platform for two months after its release, so Shondaland will be under pressure to deliver.
