Wizards Of The Coast Provide First Look At Special 'Final Fantasy' Run Of 'Magic: The Gathering'

Two cornerstones of nerd gaming culture align: Magic: The Gathering and Final Fantasy. One of the most popular and well-known RPGs of all time will now be part of the game that launched the entire concept of trading card games.
An entire set of the mana-tapping, spell-casting card game will be based on Final Fantasy. Many of the characters that people love playing as or fighting against will be represented by creatures within the game.
Magic: The Gathering - Final Fantasy will feature exclusively cards based on the popular RPG, with dual-sided cards making a return. It will feature “the largest collection of Final Fantasy artwork ever in a single game, drawing from across the franchise.” This means that no matter what your favorite version of the game is, you’ll be able to recognize characters from it and build a deck around them (whether or not that deck will be any good, though, no promises can be made). The game will feature “characters, minigames, story moments, and more”.
The set will be released on June 13.
