With Writing Strike Over, Pitches For Marvel's MCU ‘X-Men’ Movie Begin
After 148 days of fighting for themselves, Marvel’s writers have another uphill battle to fight: fan expectations. After fighting alongside their WGA brothers and sisters, the writers for the MCU return to their usual role of bringing comic book heroes to the big screen. After bringing little-known characters like Shang Chi, Miss Marvel, Moon Knight, Ant-Man, and other heroes the general public is unfamiliar with to the large and small screens, Marvel’s writers begin to tackle one of the biggest groups of heroes in comic history: The X-Men.
Justin Kroll (@krolljvar) reported to X on September 29th, “EXCLU: The Wait Is Over. With the WGA strike ending, open writing assignments are a big priority around town and Marvel just set a big one as their X-MEN movie is finally starting development as execs will meet with writers this fall to hear pitches”.
As of now, no official release date or cast list has been released for the movie.
