British writer/producer; Steven Knight recently pitched a Man of Steel sequel to Warner Bross. Knight is best known for his work on the television shows Peaky Blinders, Taboo, and See as well as feature films such as Eastern Promises, Locke, Pawn Sacrifice, and Allied and Spencer.

The idea was turned down at this time as Knight was reportedly sent on his way with notes indicating he may rework the pitch later. This should come as no surprise as new DC heads James Gunn and Peter Safran are looking to focus on the creative direction of the DC Universe as they move forward.

Fury of the Gods, The Flash, Blue Beetle, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom all being in the post-production phases of filming are expected to be released per their expected slated dates to theaters in 2023.

Only time will tell what the future holds for these characters and their respective actors under the new leadership at Warner Brothers. Fans are eager to see the direction that Gunn and Safran are heading in going into 2023!
