Two New Guinness World Records For Wesley Snipes Thanks To 'Deadpool & Wolverine'
As the movie Deadpool & Wolverine is helping the MCU recover at the box office at a rate that rivals the healing factors of the two titular characters, it appears as if Jackman and Reynolds aren’t the only two actors who are greatly benefitting from the movie’s success. Wesley Snipes, who reprised his role of the Dhampir vampire slayer Blade who was one of Marvel’s most iconic characters pre-MCU is benefitting as well. Snipes, who had a prominent cameo where he fought alongside the movie’s leading heroes and several other actors who were reprising old roles, has broken two records with his role.
The actor, who took the role of Blade in 1998, now holds the record for longest career as a Marvel actor, surpassing Hugh Jackman, who first took on the role of Wolverine in 2000. He also has a gap of over 19 years between this appearance and his most recent on in Blade: Trinity, overtaking Alfred Molina’s record of 17 years between Spider-Man 2 and No Way Home.
Deadpool & Wolverine is currently being shown in theatres.
