Last year, Dune was released to both critical and fan acclaim. There was not a lot to critique between the faithful and successful adaptation of the source material, the casting and performances of the large ensemble cast, and the phenomenal world building. However, as anyone who has read the novel the movies are based on will tell you, the first movie only covered the first two thirds of the first book so a sequel was almost assured even before the first was released. So what do we know about Dune: Part Two?

The title is simply named Dune: Part Two and the synopsis reads,

“This follow-up film will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”
