'The Wild Robot' Second Trailer Shows Off Plot Points And Voice Cast, Including Lupita Nyong'o

The latest trailer for the DreamWorks Animation film ‘The Wild Robot’ has given audiences a glimpse at the film’s plot, as well as its star-studded cast including the likes of Lupita Nyong’o, Stephanie Hsu, and Pedro Pascal.

Adapted from the books by Peter Brown, The first trailer for ‘The Wild Robot’ was released a few months ago and showcased the film’s jaw-dropping visuals, while the latest gives us more insight into the story and its characters. The film centers around Roz, a robot who struggles to adapt to life on a remote island and finds herself looking after the goose hatchling Brightbill, which brings her closer to nature. However, she’ll have to face the challenge of Brightbill growing up and eventually leaving all while being tracked down by her creators who have little regard for nature.

The Wild Robot’s cast consists of serious heavy hitters, with Academy Award Winning actress Lupita Nyong’o (Black Panther) voicing Roz. Joining her are Heartstoppers’ Kit Connor as Brightbill, The Mandalorian’s Pedro Pascal as Fink the Fox, Bill Nighy as Longneck the Goose, and Everything, Everywhere, All At Once star Stephanie Hsu as Vontra, a drone sent to retrieve Roz. The cast also includes Catherine O’Hara, Matt Berry, Ving Rhames, and Mark Hamill.

The Wild Robot premieres in theaters on September 27th. Check out the trailer here:
