‘The Wheel Of Time’ Unveils First Look At Season 2

Fans of Amazon Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time have finally gotten their first glimpse of season two. After season one ended on a cliffhanger back in December, fans have been anxiously awaiting news about when they could expect to be reunited with their favorite characters.
During New York Comic-Con, fans were given a season one recap and a teaser trailer for the new season. As the trailer opens, fans hear Moraine (Rosamund Pike) warning “We didn’t defeat the Dark One, we set his strongest lieutenant free…he may be waking the Forsaken.” The trailer features the return of all of the original characters from season one, a few new faces, and fans’ first glimpse of Mat Cauthon, who was recast during production of the show’s second season. Originally played by Barney Harris, the character of Mat will now be played by The Witcher’s Dónal Finn.

As the trailer draws to a close, the Dark One can be heard saying: “The only way to stop all of this suffering is to stop the Wheel itself,” leaving fans to wonder who he is talking to.
Season one of The Wheel of Time is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video, but a release date has not been announced yet for season two.
